We typically love eating at ShoGuns especially with the convenience of getting good hibachi or sushi without leaving town. Yesterday, the kids wanted hibachi after being in the pool most of the day. It was a Saturday night but they weren't slammed or nor did they have people waiting and we still were rushed out immediately following the chef finishing. Like I put the first bite of food in my mouth and a woman came up asking how many boxes we needed and dropped off the check. We love and appreciate this little place but that along with how impatient the other woman was while taking our order when one of our kids weren't sure what she was asking questions about the menu. I understand doing things quickly or in a timely manner but feeling rushed the entire time, really made us feel sour once we left. Which is not typically how we feel when we come here. I am only leaving a review so it is maybe seen and noted moving forward and we can continue to keep our money going to a Richmond Hill business. I do believe we would just start making the drive to Savannah if we continue to feel like we did leaving the restaurant last night. Ultimately, the food was good but had to eat it at home, our

Had to take away a star for the immediate stomach ache after eating hibachi. My kids ate 2 rolls of sushi, a tuna special platter and did not get sick but unfortunately I ate chicken and filet hibachi and immediately had to run to the bathroom within minutes of finishing the food and then continued to have a stomach ache throughout the next 3 hours before I was better. To note- I don’t have a sensitive or weak stomach. On a brighter note- The staff was very attentive. They were helpful and friendly. We got seated right away and served quickly. I’d recommend this place for the sushi but unfortunately I would not recommend the hibachi.

Very welcoming staff. Mattie was great and made suggestions of rolls and hibachi! The volcano roll was delicious! Will come back soon 😊

Was very disappointed. We were told to wait which we had absolutely no problem with. When we sat down at hibachi we got the least amount of food. The people around us got double the portions, yet we all ordered the same thing. I brought it up to the lady who was helping us and she did bring out an extra portion of steak for us as she saw our plates. Will not be returning which is disappointing as we love to go out for dinner. Mind you I ate one piece of steak before taking this picture. The guy who was cooking our dinner wanted to almost argue with me as someone else brought it to his attention and no big scene was created as other people were there to enjoy as well. I ignored him and he wanted to argue with me. No reason to as the issue was going to be solved. Thank you for having us - PS: the sushi was delicious

We went here to celebrate a birthday of one of our grandchildren. There were seven of us. They were able to see this around a hibachi grill and take our drink order fairly quickly. After a while our chef came out to cook our meals. He confirmed what we had ordered and how we wanted it. He began by cooking the fried rice. By that time they did it three more people to our table of 10 now. It was a large party and they only use three eggs for our fried rice. That's not a lot for that amount of rice. And then they peppered the snot out of it. The chef then began cooking our meats. He was quick to get the beef cut up and off the grill because it was ordered medium rare. The next thing he took off was the chicken while the scallops and shrimp remained cooking. Needless to say the shrimp and scallops were overcooked. We also experienced one bad scallop that did not taste right and had to dispose of it. Then they cooked the vegetables. This just seemed out of order. I've never had them do the vegetables last. Usually they do those first, then do the rice, then do your meats. The show that the chef put on was limited and he didn't seem to engage the people like most hibachi grills. The yum
